What Customers Say About Koolvac KV-1 Robotic Vacuum:

Only lasted maybe 6 months and it didn't work. Dog hair was getting caught in it.
I was very disapointed with this product for several reasons: 1) the dustbin is very small 2) the main brush needs to be unscrewed to be cleaned 3) the little side brush is made of a rigid plastic that was about to break after being used only a few hours 4) but the main problem is that this robotic vacuum kept spinning around table legs and bed legs, often 5 or 6 times before getting unstuck, and once even 13 times before I finally turned it off and moved it to another spot. There was obviously something wrong with the software of the unit I purchased.Overall, this seems to me to be a very cheap and unreliable product. I am unable to recommend this product to anyone.
Don't buy this vacuum -- it is a blatant ripoff of the original Roomba vacuum -- which iRobot has since dramatically upgraded with the Discovery series. You can get a Roomba Red for about the same price, with double the suction and much better reliability.
The reason that I have had so many is because irobot is liberal about replacing them while they are under warranty.Koolvac is supposed to be a knock-off of the original roomba and is being sued by irobot. I have owned about six original roombas. I have ordered one for two reasons:1) If another company can make the same thing with good quality control, it would be an excellent buy.2) If it is almost an exact copy of roomba, between them I will have a way to replace defective parts. They all work well initially, but all fail within a month or two. I attribute it to poor quality control. My last roomba became worthless, when a simple plastic part became worn. Irobot does not sell replacement parts.
Even the wheels are the same. It's exactly like my roomba. Well I own a Roomba and got a Koolvac for Christmas from a friend. Performance is the same also. The battery and charger are the same. It is like Koolvac took apart a roomba and copied it part for part. This thing picks up dirt like a tornado. Looks like I am going to sell my roomba and keep my koolvac.
